About the Candidate

Jeremy Kurtz is running for Congress because he believes everyone should have the opportunity to live up to their potential, regardless if they are born rich, poor, or somewhere in the middle. The district needs a fresh perspective and a break from the political extremes that do not represent the best interest of the residents.

Jeremy knows the struggles of families. Growing up in the district, he worked 40 hours a week while still attending Wachusett High School to support his mother who was disabled. He learned how to balance school, work, live, and most importantly income after having a car repossessed.

After high school, Jeremy joined the US Navy where he proudly served abroard and did tours in Somalia and Persian Gulf before moving home where he married his high school sweetheart Melissa.

Jeremy worked for Staples, Inc for 17 years after leaving the Navy before he went to work for smaller IT Company to spend more time with his family. Jeremy always found time to volunteer his time for non-profits in his industry and within the community.

Jeremy currently serves on the Holden Board of Selectmen, Chair of Holden Economic Development Commission (EDC) an active supporter and was a previous committee member of the Sterling Fair.

Jeremy and his wife Melissa are raising their sons Michael and Tyler in their family headquarters in Holden.
